FIRST Robotics – Engineers in the making

How can you tell if someone is really interested in engineering? Why not check them out at a FIRST Robotics competition. With the support of employers, students are given a robot to “engineer” and get ready for competition. As part of their learning experience, these students must learn several key elements of business such as branding, raising capital, and team work.

In 2010, GEICC hosted a booth at the local competition with plans to continue our involvement in FIRST Robotics.
