ENERGE Partners
The ENERGE grant is a product of an extraordinary partnership between education, government and industry.

The primary goal of the Georgia ENERGE Initiative involves helping the partnership meet the current and growing need for skilled trade workers in the energy and energy construction industries. The grant targets five regional areas in Georgia and five identified energy industries. The covered programs provide opportunities in the electric, oil/natural gas/pipeline, nuclear power, transmission/generation energy and energy-related construction industries.

Ten grant sub-recipients receive funds to promote awareness of the training and educational opportunities in Georgia: eight technical colleges (see links below); the North Georgia Building and Construction Trades Council/AFL-CIO which offers apprenticeships in industrial construction trades; and CEFGA,which promotes the construction industry in Georgia. The targeted technical colleges collectively offer 23 skilled trade training programs that lead to job opportunities in high-growth, high demand and economically vital energy industries.
